- Yes, I totally love it! 看了,太喜欢了!
- How is the food? 菜好吃吗?
- I love it! Just love it! 好吃!我太喜欢了!

上面这些日常情况,中文基本都会用“喜欢”表达情绪; " v5 N6 N. a, G
可是英语却要用“love". , e2 x( Q$ W) X3 L7 U p
如果用“I like it", 反而容易造成误解!

I don't think I've ever said "我爱你" to my parents: 我好像从来没对我父母说过“我爱你” 7 h m& F- ?; |; f; @( ` k
It feels so awkward. I don't know how to say it: 感觉很尴尬,不知怎么开口 2 W* c8 U+ w% X0 W4 C' u
My parents don't really say it to me either: 我爸爸妈妈好像也不会跟我说 , S3 u1 S/ k. }0 i! {
But I say "mommy loves you" to my sons all the time: 但是,我倒常用英语跟孩子说“mommy loves you"
7 q4 a" w: c$ c( rI don't really say it in Chinese though, feels really awkward: 但是我不太用中文跟他们说“妈妈爱你”,也觉得很尴尬
& i* Z6 r( j1 L: w' r0 j: a) LMaybe when it's not your mother tongue, it's easier to say: 有可能不是自己的母语,反而更容易说

说完love, 说hate 中文“恨”是个特别强烈的字,日常很少用。 & j1 r2 ?5 V& `) _
但是英语的hate口语却很常用。 + X* Y8 Z2 q: n ~. H; ~
基本,刚才所有用love的例子,也可以很自然地用hate。 & B4 @* u+ c4 n8 V% ^

- I hated that movie. It was so bad. 那部电影太难看了,我一点儿都不喜欢。
- It has been raining non-stop. I hate this weather! 天天下雨,天气太讨厌了!
- Traffic is so bad. I hate it! 路真堵,烦死了!1 i3 u5 M2 g0 P9 \

To hate a person? 用在人身上呢? Be careful with using "hate" on people: 用在人身上,要特别谨慎

- A love hate relationship with your work/your boss: 对于自己的工作、对于自己的老板,大概也有些爱恨交织的情绪
- Many foreigners have a love hate relationship with China: 很多外国人,对中国也是爱恨交织
