VANCOUVER — All you whisky lovers trying to get a bottle of the world's best whisky made in Manitoba, good luck!
Crown Royal’s Northern Harvest Rye "just disappeared" off most of the shelves of B.C. liquor stores Friday, soon after it was named World Whisky of the Year for 2016 by Jim Murray's Whisky Bible.
The only stores in Vancouver that did show the last few bottles available as of Sunday afternoon were on http://www.bcliquorstores.com/store/locator/160 and http://www.bcliquorstores.com/store/locator/129.
A BCLS employee told the Vancouver Sun, it's "really tough to get one."
"This product is ridiculously hot," he said adding, if you're trying to find a bottle and are really lucky, check which stores have deliveries on Monday and get there as soon as you can.
The whisky is made in Gimli, the heart of Manitoba's Interlake region.
This is the first time a Canadian product has won the top prize in Murray's Whisky Bible.
A Canadian-made $30 bottle of rye has become a hot item after being named World Whisky of the Year 2016. Eric Longley explains." ]; T8 S& \% X- G1 Q/ ?
