今天聊聊怎么感谢别人。
你会学到"Thank you"以外的更多不同说法;
用在不同场合、不同对象身上!
"Thanks"比"Thank you"更常用
"Thanks" and "Thank you" are the two most common expressions: “thanks"和"thank you"是最常用的两种感谢方式
"Thanks" is more colloquial than "thank you": “thanks”比“thank you”更口语一点
Some people might be afraid to just say "thanks" because they don't think it's enough: 有些人怕说“thanks”,因为觉得不够
But native speakers say "thanks" all the time, especially with friends or coworkers, people they know: 但是母语者常说“thanks", 特别是和朋友、同事这样的熟人
Trust Adam; it's enough, at least for small matters: 相信Adam,日常小事,说“Thanks“就够了
When is it used? 什么时候用?
Small matters: 小事
Can you pass me the piece of paper? Thanks!
你能把那张纸递给我吗?Thanks!
It's just lifting a finger: 只是举手之劳
什么时候用"Thank you"?
"Thank you" is a bit more formal: "Thank you"更正式一点
When do you use "thank you"? 什么时候用呢?
1. On the phone, e.g. with customer support, reception: 打电话的时候, 比如客服啦、总机
2. If you ask someone to run an errand for you: 如果你麻烦别人帮你出去办事、跑腿
3. When someone you don't know or don't know very well helped you: 如果是你不认识或不熟的人帮你
英语常说“感激”
One word that's not often used in Chinese but frequently used in English is "appreciate": 有一个词中文里不常用,但英语里却很常用: "appreciate" (感激)
"感激" is for really big, life-changing, life-saving help in Chinese: 中文里用“感激”,通常是特别大的,改变人生或者救命之恩
But in English, "appreciate" is commonly used. It doesn't have to be life-changing, life-saving events: 但是英语里,"appreciate"这个词日常很常用,不一定是很大的事、救命之恩
好老板、好员工都常说“Appreciate it”
You can use it to replace "thank you very much": 可以用来代替"thank you very much"
It sounds more natural: 听起来更自然
It's used a lot at work: 工作中很常用
比如:
"Thanks, I appreciate it" or "I appreciate your help"
It's used a lot at work, especially if you're talking to your superior, using "appreciate" is more polite and respectful: 工作中和上级用很好,可以表达尊重
It's also a good way for the manager to express appreciation for their employees: 上级对下级用也很好,表示你尊重员工的工作
Especially when you're making requests, giving deadlines: 特别是提要求、 追进度的时候
几个有意思的“谢谢”说法
一百万个感谢
“Thanks a million”: 一百万个感谢"Thanks a bunch": 一大串感谢These two expressions are both very colloquial ways of thanking someone: 这两个说法都是特别口语、特别地道的表达感谢的方式They are great to use with freinds and coworkers: 日常和朋友、同事用都很好 说“Thanks a lot“一定要注意语气哦!
“Thanks a lot" is also common: “Thanks a lot"也很常用
But be cautious of your tone of voice:但是一定要注意语气
"Thanks a lot" since it has the potential to sound sarcastic and mean "Thanks for nothing": 说“Thanks a lot”时要特别注意语调,因为他可能带讽刺的感觉
“没出汗”=“别客气”?
How do you reply to a “thank you”? 怎么回应“thank you"?
- "You're welcome": 最常用的当然是"you're welcome"
- "No problem", "No worries":"No problem", "No worries"更口语,澳洲人特别爱说"no worries"
- "Don't mention it": 别提,别那么客气
- "No sweat", "It's no sweat": ”没出汗“,帮了个小忙,一点儿汗都没出 ;意思就是别客气
