Portmanteau is originally a French word. It means a suitcase with two compartments: portmanteau是一个法语词，原意指有两个夹层的皮箱
There are a lot of fun and useful portmanteaus in English. They'll help you sound very native and plugged in: 英语里有很多有趣的、实用的混成词；使用它们会让你的英语听起来很地道、对美国文化很了解
