＃1. Fate

• Fate (名词): 命运、缘分
  

Fate brings people together no matter how far apart they maybe: 有缘千里来相会
% Y4 a8 f# R3 V  f2 pIt was fate that we met: 我们遇见，真的是缘分

• Fateful (形容词)
  

On that fateful day, you walked into my life: 命运的安排，那一天你走入了我的生活
On that fateful day, I received a special phone call: 命运的安排，我收到了一个特别的电话
＊Fate这个词，可以用来形容友情、爱情、际遇等各种范畴＊

Destiny和fate的意思很像。但是用法上有些区别：

• My fate is in your hands: 我的命运掌握在你手上 （判决、审判）
• You're my destiny: 你是我命中注定的人 （浪漫）
• This is my destiny: 这注定是我的命运 （人生、事业）

If you keep running into the same person in different places: 如果你一直在不同地方巧遇一个人，可以说：

The most common and natural expression is:  最常用、最自然的表达方法是

但也可以用更抽象、浪漫的说法：

• It wasn't in the stars
• It wasn't in the cards

英语也常用到宇宙、天象来描述缘分：

朋友间的缘份，不太用到上述说的fate, destiny这些词；

• We really clicked: 我们特别有缘、一见如故
• We hit it off right away: 同上
• We became quick friends: 同上

Things: 和东西、物件的缘分

我们平时买东西，大到房子，小到手表，好像也爱用缘分表达。英语可以说：
